Campaign launch at the GREENTECH FESTIVAL 2024
Berlin, May 16, 2024. At the GREENTECH FESTIVAL 2024, the Swiss food producer SUN AG is launching a global campaign with the motto #raceforsoil. The campaign aims to draw attention to the threatening decline of fertile agricultural land.
Prominent supporters of the initiative
This mission is already supported by numerous prominent people such as Joey Kelly, Timo Scheider, Hansi Hinterseer and now also by Nico Rosberg (Founder GREENTECH FESTIVAL).
The threatening development of our arable land
Annual loss of fertile soil
For more than 50 years, we have been losing approximately 1% of the fertile agricultural land that serves as the basis for our survival. This corresponds to approximately 10 million hectares per year.
Soil as a non-renewable resource
Soil is a non-renewable resource for our generation and the next, as it can take over 100 years for one centimeter of fertile soil to develop.
Nutrition and land use
A Western diet requires up to one hectare of fertile soil per person. However, only 0.18 hectares per person are available worldwide.
SUN Minimeal as a sustainable solution
Innovative product development
Using the latest technologies, SUN AG has developed a naturally complete meal replacement called SUN Minimeal.
